Gala Concert at the Sochi Winter Arts Festival

Opera for Peace formally launches a partnership with the Sochi Winter International Arts Festival this season, celebrating the collaboration with an Italian Bel Canto Gala Concert on February 19 at the Winter Theatre. The evening features a spectacular international roster of emerging artists, including Nombulelo Yende (soprano, South Africa); Victoria Karkacheva (mezzo-soprano, Russia); Alec Carlson (tenor, USA); Dennis Chmelensky (baritone, Germany); and Germán E. Alcántara (baritone, Argentina). The artists will be accompanied by the Novaya Rossiya State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the acclaimed tenor and conductor Dmitry Korchak, who also serves as an Opera for Peace Ambassador.
